2025 Art Goals

It’s quite overwhelming to be thinking a year ahead in terms of goal setting. There’s an internal panic voice telling me I need to get everything done super quick… The inner critic is strong as I’m writing this. But, I have been taking notes throughout the year for what I’d like to do this coming year, so it’s definitely not as bad as it could have been.

Without further ado, these are the artistic goals for 2025:

1) Publish Reverie Volume 2 by the middle of April 2025

Status:

Script: Complete

Thumbnails: 88/88

Inks: 41/88

Lettering: 88/88

2) Publish Reverie Volume 3 by November 2025

Status:

Script: Complete

Thumbnails: Not started

Inks: Not started

Lettering: Not started

3) Prioritise Creating Traditional Art

All of the work you see at events is digital, unless you see me sketching away in my sketchbook or drawing for you. I’m also fairly adept with acrylics, gouache, and watercolour. My work is dotted around our house. I’d love to bring it to events, but I’m concerned with the transport requirements to haul along several canvases to events. The amount of packaging one canvas needs is a lot compared to art prints which I can box up fairly easily.

4) Publish a Children’s Book

At a lot of the events I attend with you, quite a few people have children. The younger kids have reached for the Reverie graphic novel quite a lot, despite there being an age rating on it saying it’s suitable for 13 years and older. I want to have some books on the stands that are more age-appropriate for the little ones. Maybe some bedtime stories.
